My wife and I moved to Poolville, TX in September 2022. Through the years, I have networked with several farmers and ranchers, building relationships in the Ag industry. This includes our relationship with the Miller family at Triple M Farms located in central Arizona. Currently their operation consists of 7000 acres and they produce some of the best forage in the country. 4-Q sells their product throughout the US. We bring truckload quantities into our barn in Poolville to service our local customers with quality alfalfa, bermuda, Teff, straw and oat hay. We can also provide direct shipments of truckload quantities on both 3-string retail and 3 x 4 x 8 big bales throughout the country. Our goal is to provide customers with a good quality product at an affordable price.
Bermuda and Bermuda grass mixes are a good substitute for higher protein feeds such as alfalfa. This giant bermuda is soft and very palatable for your horses and livestock. It provides an excellent source of fiber and is easy on the digestive system.
Alfalfa is a legume hay in the pea family and is sometimes called “lucerne.” When properly cured, alfalfa is the best of the legume hays from a nutrient standpoint. Alfalfa is used for horses, dairy cows, beef cattle, sheep, chickens, turkeys and other farm animals. It has the most feed value of all the perennial pasture forages.
Teff is such a fantastic product for horses needing a low-sugar / low-starch diet. We test all of our forage products so that we can provide our customers with good RFV analysis so they know exactly what they are feeding their animals.
Straw can be used for bedding, biofuel, gardening, construction and/or as a filler source of fibre for livestock. Straw is composed of dried grain stalks. This product comes in either a 3-string retail bale or a 3x4x8 big bale.
Oat hay is nutritious and high in both protein and energy content. It can be fed to horses and cattle. In addition to straight Oat hay, alfalfa is often planted with oats to provide additional energy to your equine and livestock diet.
